Q How did MinebeaMitsumi enter the lighting market?: A

MinebeaMitsumi's lighting and optical technology brings years of expertise in the manufacturing of light guiding panels for LED backlights used in smart devices. Taking advantage of this expertise, we developed a 1mm thin lens for LED lights, and used core components such as motors, power supplies, wireless technology and others, to develop a one of a kind product for the lighting market.

Q What is the origin of the product name SALIOT?: A

The name "SALIOT" was derived from the initial letters of "Smart Adjustable Light for the Internet Of Things". The concept is innovating lighting for IoT utilizing wireless technology.

Q What markets would benefit from this innovation?: A

Commercial facilities (shopping centers, apparel related shops), show rooms (car dealers), museums/art museums, educational facilities, event spaces, hotels, in high ceilings and large places, etc.

Q Has SALIOT received any awards?: A

Q What is the difference between SALIOT and other companies' lighting equipment?: A

Applying our wireless technologies, we developed proprietary software enabling users to easily control the light distribution angle, brightness, color temperature and illumination position up/down/left/right with a smartphone or tablet.
Capable of controlling up to 100 units simultaneously through Bluetooth Mesh^®.

Q Can I use SALIOT for home?: A

SALIOT is mainly used for shops and facilities. Please contact us for more details.

Q Can I use SALIOT outside?: A

At the moment, SALIOT products are not recommended for outdoor use. SALIOT is mainly used for indoor facilities. For more information please contact us directly.

Q Is it possible to connect to an external dimmer?: A

The SALIOT Bridge for connecting with various dimming systems is under development and not available for our current product lineup.

Q Can SALIOT be mounted on any type of ceiling?: A

SALIOT can not be installed on slant ceilings. Please make jigs and keep it horizontal.

Q How can I get the App?: A

You can download the SALIOT App from the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.

Q What OS does SALIOT support?: A

iOS 10 or later (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch)

Q What is the maximum communication distance between a smartphone and SALIOT?: A

About 20m when there is no communication obstacles around.

Q Can it be operated or registered by a third person?: A

The registration process manages your account name and network safely. To keep it confidential, we recommend that you keep your information safe. A third party cannot access your account without this information.

Q How do I get information about repairs and product warranty?: A

Please contact the lighting manufacturer where you originally bought the product from.

Q How often does SALIOT need maintenance?: A

If you do not operate SALIOT for a month, the notification "Please conduct maintenance" will show up on the App. So please follow the messages and restore the operation.
